HOW I TAKE NOTES ON MY IPAD PRO USING THE APP GOODNOTES.
Your wish is my command, many people were interested in a post about how I write my notes on my iPad so here it is…
I start by adding the title. I either do this using a textbook on the app, or I use the app procreate to letter the title, save it as a PNG, and then import it into my notebook. Then I usually just add highlighter lines on both sides of the title. I use the button with the square, circle, and triangle to make a straight line. This tool is extremely useful. It ends up looking like this:
.
In the upper right, I write the sections of the textbook the notes are on. Sometimes in the upper left I write down key abbreviations I used.
.
Now, I double up the thickness for the titles of the subheadings and highlight those in the same color as the highlight lines for my title.
.
The rest of my note taking is pretty simple. I use a different colored pen for definitions and I use arrows with a little highlighter as bullets to indicate subheadings within that section. From here, I just take my notes just like I was taking them on paper.
For these notes, I used a darker colors blue just to indicate the different classes of enzymes. I usually only stick to only two different colors of pens to use.
Annnnnnd that is how I take notes using the app GoodNotes! Hope some of you found this helpful. xx
Misc:
I’ve recently been using the fountain pen at a thickness of 2.0, but I have the pressure sensitivity turned off. I find the fountain pen to be more fluid than the ball point but I didn’t like it with the pressure sensitivity turned on.
These notes are from my biochemistry textbook.

I’m a picture without a frame.
A poem without a rhyme.
A car with three wheels.
A sun without fire.
I’m a gun without bullets.
I’m the truth without someone to hear it.
I’m a feeling without someone to feel it.
This is who i am.
A mess without you.
Something beautiful with you.
“I hope you find someone who doesn’t make you sad at night and someone who reminds you how much they love you every day and who laughs at your jokes and wants to listen to your music and who genuinely what’s to be with you and doesn’t make you second guess their love for you. I really hope you find that. Because you deserve that.”

May 4th, 2015 - don’t settle for less
7 months later I can hardly still follow my own advice
“Don’t say “yes” if you want to say “no”. Don’t say “maybe” if you want to say “never”. You can’t hurt people with your decisions. We always want to please, but at the end we are hurting ourselves; it took me a lot of time to learn how to say “no”, but I finally managed.”
